Sometimes the view from afar is as clear as the close up- It is well written and proven that,' The Pen is Mightier than the Sword,' especially when the view from the pen is popularly wrapped in parody and satire: humour with a cutting edge. To update that little- the Guitar has proven to be greater than the Gun. So, words and music, the pen and the guitar, are powerful players in times of need. When the message is passed on with memorable melody and the needs and meaning are wrapped in entertaining but cutting humour...both the numbers listening and the support that is generated- are more than welcome in times of need. Right now - America has such a need. They have a President who is proving to be dangerously self centred- not taking in needed advice or diplomatic suggestions. Right now the news is that the world is watching and is saddened to see this great American nation viewed with increasing ridicule, with the President's ongoing erratic behaviour, unthinking kneejerk reactions, a potential danger to world peace, to world trade and thus jobs both American and in needy countries. Perhaps worse, beyond this generation, he is risking the future of the fragile planet earth on which we live. With every respect, much love, and with our own share of the planet also exposed we want to help. We don't want to meddle, interfere, poke our noses in- we just want you to know that -- we also care, and just as you guys have helped us in the past, we want to try and do our bit to restore reality. Do we want 'trouble on the streets?' No . Guitars not Guns have a longer lasting effect for all. To be fair there are those who are more than happy they got what they voted for...that's fine for them. We are not in The White House and so see no place for simple aggressive name calling and defamation, but if the music and the message spreads wide enough then everyone at least gets to hear about the other side of the coin. With this, the original version of the music from 'Donald and Melania the Musical' we combine farce, humour and some very '60's style songs' that take into account the Presidents upbringing as a Jersey Boy. Reflecting the fact that the real world has issues that need some considered thought, not just a view from the golf course ,with those pop songs we mix in some others with way more meaningful and powerful messages- on Human Rights, on 'Life, Love, Peace, War.'--and a plea to 'Bring Back the American Dream.' We're hoping to make enough cash from these music sales- to make a full TV version of the show--including some usefully emotive videos of those meaningful songs.
