Red is the debut EP by Husky, the latest musical project of multi-instrumentalist/songwriter James Tonnessen. Over the years, James has accrued many harsh and horrible experiences while staggering around the DC area. Translating these experiences into metaphorical lyrics, backing them with fitting music, and making extra certain to include a head nodding groove is what Husky is all about. These songs are written with catharsis in mind, every lyric has been tweaked so anyone can find a nugget of truth in them. And that nugget of truth is worth all of the gold in the world. Whether you've had a bad day and just need something to scream along to and blow off some steam, or you're life is caving in around you and you need to know that someone understands; James has thought of you while writing these songs. His end goal isn't to create pretty music that will be played on the radio, it isn't to write songs that everyone will love, he writes his songs for the people who are right on the edge and need something to pull them back.
