Further Down the Line
Costello hails from deep South Texas in an area known as the Rio Grande Valley. Costello is the brainchild of Max Moreno, the lead singer and primary songwriter of the tracks on the EP "Further Down the Line." Costello was formed in 2010 and has seen several changes in band members over the years. Max hand selected his current Costello bandmates, three of whom were members of the rock alternative band "Tim's Myth" (including bassist Dusty Salas, lead guitarist Matt Gonzalez, and pianist/keyboardist Chad Tolar). Costello was completed with the addition of drummer/percussionist Andy Gonzalez, formerly of Last Call Band and current drummer for Roy Solis. Max Moreno draws upon personal experiences from his life in McAllen, Texas when writing his songs and lyrics, including the women he has loved, friends he has made, and dreams he has chased. The song "Sycamore" was inspired by Max's adolescent years growing up on Sycamore street in McAllen, Texas and girl he loved back then. "Further Down The Line" chronicles a relationship Max was in that just had bad timing. The lyrics "She said she needs some time to see the world and clear her mind, I wonder what she hopes to find. I said I got no place to go and if you must leave that fine, but I pray I see you further down the line; and I hate to wait, but I guess I'll wait this time" resonate with fans of all ages and backgrounds. Everyone can relate to, and identify with Max's heartfelt song lyrics and stories. Costello music is feel good, home cooked music that makes you want to get up and dance.
