This album features a Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi in the raga Shreepriya, a new raga created by Dr. L. Subramaniam by introducing a variation in the melakarta raga Charukeshi. Shreepriya has the tonic, major second, major third, perfect fourth, perfect fifth, minor sixth, and minor seventh, both in ascending and descending, with the minor third used occasionally. The Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi is one of the most complex forms of musical expression in Carnatic music. This Pallavi is set to Kanda Chapu tala of 5 beats, divided as 2+3. During the Pallavi, there is also a section with percussion solos.
