Remastered for 2014 and packed in an environmentally-friendly card wallet which also allows us to reduce the price. Returning to the studio as an artist in 1981after a number of years spent Producing and playing on other artists albums, I began by recording some of my favourite songs to get back into the feel of it. These sessions were just my friend & former Argent drummer Bob Henrit, and myself working together in the studio - just drums & guitar with me standing at the mixing console whilst playing guitar and shouting encouragement through the guide vocal microphone in the control room! Soon I was inviting others to join us to make the sessions a little more conventional - Dave Wintour played Bass on some tracks, then my old friend Terry Uttley joined us to play bass on the remaining tracks and help me with the background vocals. These vocal sessions also involved Rod Argent, Russ Ballard, Chris Norman & Alan Silson at various times as the album progressed. When Bob Henrit was busy with his regular job - the Kinks, Steve Rodford stepped in to play drums for me. Rod Argent returned to play some of the keyboard parts for me, and Mike Rutherford played bass pedals on his song 'In The Arms of Someone Else'. Great sessions - started all those years ago, and yet we all remain friends to this day. Bob Henrit & Steve Rodford are still regular members of my band - we just completed my latest album together in December 2011! Interrupted Journey has been remastered for 2012 - but is still very much of its time, set in the early '80s when the music scene here in the UK was still pretty healthy!!
