Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Mico Tanner's life was no walk in the park. With no father figure in his life and mom struggling to take care of herself and him, Mico began to develop a mentality that was contrary to his current beliefs. Feeling the pressure to make it out of his horrible lifestyle, he began to make mistakes that were proven to have their consequences. From partying, to drinking, to setting a bad example with the use of profanity, Mico started to consider other options. At the age of 16, Mico began getting involved with modeling. Positive results were entering his life as he was able to provide himself the needed tools to get around and make enough money for personal needs. Throughout his modeling career, he experienced both the good and bad in the industry. People were starting to recognize him as Mico the "Model". Hearing this often, Mico began to question what he was doing and whether it was the right path or not. Soon enough, at the age of 19 Mico was hit with THE TRUTH. He began to realize that without GOD in his life, he was nothing and had nothing to offer. The grace of GOD shined light into his life and Mico gave his life to Jesus Christ, the son of the living GOD. His life dramatically changed as he knew what he was doing was for GOD. He began to look at life from a different view and decided music, which was also one of his passions, was a gateway to spread the good news, the Gospel. From a young age, Mico loved to sing and began taking singing serious at the age of 15. The sound of music was something that captivated him. Seeing how artists could deliver a message that would impact people whether positive or negative, Mico knew he wanted to be a part of this powerful tool. He wanted to take the thoughts in his brain and transform them into a piece of beautiful liturgy. Mico feels his unique style of music can bring his fans a different sound that spreads positivity into their lives. His goals are to touch people’s lives, change their perspectives, and accept Jesus into their hearts. Mico hopes to establish himself so he can help build more churches, schools, educational programs, and anything that will bring glory to God. His goals are simply for the love of GOD.
