The Fable has been in the works for the better part of a year. It is the largest production that Watts & Delzer has ever been involved with. The music is the basis for the novel and a play. The songs were written to stand on their own as traditional songs are written. The only difference is that all the songs on this album will tell an epic story of their own when listened to in order. From the very first note that you hear on the album, you can immediately tell your about to embark on an epic an dramatic musical journey. The sound of Watts & Delzer is simple. Driving drums, shredding guitars, symphonic melodies, and ethereal vocals. The idea of The Fable came about after the release of their first album in 2011. That entire album was themed around light and darkness. Although the production of the album wasn't stellar, it fared well with old fans and even gained a few new ones. The idea of a themed album stuck with Joshua (songwriter/composer) as did one song in particular, Enchanted Garden. The song was simple and folkish but employed an ethereal sound to it. The lyrics told a story that left Joshua to wonder what led to the events of that story and where they might have gone. One late night, Joshua had an idea and called Shannon (lead vocalist) right away. A discussion was hand and an idea was thought of and The Fable was born. Joshua started writing new songs like crazy. Before long he realized that he needed to know where the story in the music was going to take listeners. He locked himself in a room for two months and wrote a novel that laid out the rest of the frame work for the music. The rest of the song writing commenced and The Fable came to life.
