NatLife, a trailblazer in Ukraine's trance scene, is a widely known producer all around the world. Having worked for years in the scene, his tunes are now regularly heard in sets by front line trance DJs such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Matt Darey, Above and Beyond, and Paul van Dyk. NatLife's latest release "Age of Reptiles" continues the cool, melodic, progressive trance sound that is typical to his productions. With tight remixes from Eximinds and 5tranger, this is a release not to miss. 1. Age of Reptiles (2oo9 Rework) The 2oo9 Rework is based on an early project by NatLife, now revised with the latest modern touch and sound. The track begins mysteriously with a short intro by a solitary bass line, colored with a rounding ticking and spaceous croaks. Percussions join in and the track kicks off in a gradually growing progressive part, with a brief bass variation passage, and new elements and sounds presenting themselves. The break is beautiful and exalting - the serene pads grow ouf of hollow emptiness into rapturing bliss, which then gives way for an intriguing glissando theme that plucks into space, while the track intensifies for another kick off. A dynamic, pensive melody then carries the track to the outro. 2. Age of Reptiles (Eximinds Remix) Eximinds Remix begins with a groovy perc intro, spiced with spaceous FX sounds and echos. A bright melodic lead theme appears, is joined by upbeat synth accompaniment, and finally the bass line kicks off the track. The break builds an interlude based on a panning synth sound and deep, cut vocal reverbations, which blend in with the other rising melodic elements and lift off for another intense run. 3. Age of Reptiles (5tranger Remix) 5tranger Remix starts with a dry percussion intro, but soon unreleases a rich melody texture. When the bass line kicks in it should be clear that 5tranger means business. The track grinds on like a steam engine while a plucked melody joins and prepares for a subtle but intense bass variation. The melody lines grow interlaced and the track goes to break, leaving a sustaining pad hovering over the bright guitar theme that unreveals from the mist. A progressive lift off kicks the remix off for the second part, now with the guitar giving a ripping upbeat for the driving sound body.
