Its funny how the first thing the Bible describes about love is that it is "patient."I love music; not like I love a pint of Half Baked Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, but music doesn't have to do anything for me, pay any bills, or give me fame and I would still play it. It gives me so much joy to play, write, sing, and share whatever truth or story about life God has shown me. All the while wanting to play music, it took me six years of business school at James Madison University, internships in Nashville and Los Angeles, a year of jobs to pay off student loans, humbling voice lessons, writing 75+ songs, taking songwriting classes, countless metaphorical scraped knees, the occasional fist pump, and learning to be patient with where I was in life to get to where I am today. I now believe I am at a place where I can go out, record these songs, tour, and share some of the joys and struggles God, family, friends, foes, and just twenty three years of life have taught me. This Patience Plea EP is all about patience; patience with God and His patience with us, patience in relationships, patience in suffering, patience with jobs we don't love, and patience with with the broken and yet beautiful world we live in.
