Covers 4 Lovers is a celebration of hits by Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Bee Gees, Burt Bacharach, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Leroy Anderson and several others. The new arrangements were written by composer & pianist Mika Pohjola, and recorded in the legendary Studio 2 at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. The musicians have applied a combined pop vs jazz aesthetic where a groove and original melodies meet free-wheeling commentary by the tenor saxophone and a string section. This recording is a must-have for lovers of pop music of the 60s and the 70s.
