Severus Snape and the Relics of Death

"Severus Snape and the Relics of Death" (a play on words of the last two novels in the Harry Potter book series "The Half Blood Prince" and "The Deathly Hallows") is a musical journey through the last two years of Professor Snape's life. If you've read these two books you would have noticed that the storyline is actually one, divided into two parts. These two books stand apart from the other five in so many ways. The characters are more mature. The mood is darker. The theme is death. This gapless play album is a soundtrack covering the key elements of Severus' final years, fulfilling the vow he made to his mentor many years before. "Look at Me" starts off the album at the end of his life. He calls to Harry, offering his memories literally oozing from his head, after a fatal strike from Lord Voldemort's snake Nagini. This is the final message Dumbledore needed Snape to give Potter to conquer Voldemont. "The Unbreakable Vow" begins our journey through the final message. Not only is it the protective vow between Severus and Draco's mother it is also the vow of silence between Snape and Dumbledore to protect Harry. "Snape's Mission" is the conversation between Snape and Dumbledore regarding Draco Malfoy's mission to kill Dumbledore. For the sake of Draco's soul, Dumbledore reminds Severus that he must do the deed. This is also when Dumbledore reveals to Snape the true meaning of Harry's life. The end of the track is the reveal of Severus' Patronus, where Dumbledore remarks "After all this time?", regarding Snape's undying love for Harry's late mother, Lily. "Always" is Severus' simple reply. "The Killing of Dumbledore" the chilling scene of the Headmaster's death. "Gathering at Malfoy Manor" is the gathering of Death Eaters at Draco's parent's house. Due to Draco not fulfilling his duty of killing Dumbledore his parents are demoted to the lowest of the Death Eater ranks, while Snape is promoted to his right hand. "Flight of the Seven Potters" Snape plays a convincing part of a Death Eater chasing the duplicate Potters as they send Harry away to a safe house. "Looking Through the Portrait". Severus' only means of knowing the whereabouts of the secluded Harry is through the portrait of Phineas Black. "The Silver Doe" Severus sends Harry his Patronus guiding him through the forest in his hour of need. "A New Headmaster" is the stand off in Hogwarts castle between Snape and Professor McGonagall. Severus chooses to fly out of a window in lieu of fighting. Instead of revealing his true nature, he continues the charade for Harry's sake. "Snape's Demise" As Severus holds onto the snake bite wound long enough for Harry to receive the final message from Dumbledore, Snape draws Harry closer and whispers "Look...at...me". "Severus and Lily" Harry pours Snape's memories into Dumbledore's Pensieve and dives into the final message. Harry finally sees the hero's hero Severus is. His love for his mother. His remorse for hers and his father's death. His second chance at life given to him by Dumbledore. This track and the previous nine make up the chapter "The Prince's Tale" in "The Deathly Hallows". "Always" No words need.
