INSTRUMENTALS 2000 Swing-n-Jazz

Instrumentals 2000, Swing-n-Jazz is an Album of music genres ranging from Jazz-Swing to Jazz-Lounge. The renditions are presented in "Easy Listening, Smooth & Sophisticated Styles by 'well known', Top Musicians from New Orleans & the Gulf Coast. Much of the music contained in this Album was written over a period of 60 years, throughout much of the Composer's life. Jim Kotter is now in his late seventies and enjoying good health after a serious bout with prostate cancer in 2002. The doctors say,"His healing was a remarkable response to the medication". Jim says, "It was a remarkable Devine Healing, Thank You Jesus! All Honor and Glory to You, Now and Forevermore". One of the songs, "Sleepy Rhythm" has an original Copyright, dated August 4,1952. Several of the Album's other songs were composed in and around that period. Do not however, think for a moment these songs are outdated. They are presented in a modern vein and can hold their own in competition with music of this period. THREE of the songs on this Album, No's 1, 4 & 13 have been on several of Broadjam's Top 10 Listings. "My Song Is You " has been on one or more of Broadjam's Top 10 Categories for over six months! "Don't Want To Say Goodnight" was on Broadjam's, Louisiana Top 10 Listing for a considerable length of time. Larry Foyan, and his trumpet magic, is said to resemble the style of Harry James. He demonstrates his superb talent in renditions of ,"Don't Want To Say Goodnight", "My Cherie'" & "That Yesterday Song". Incidentally, Larry 'held down' the Number One Trumpet Seat in the late Ray Charles' Band. Jerry Ball, and his sophisticated jazz saxophone, demonstrates his outstanding talent throughout the Album, especially with renditions of, New Orleans, Autumn Love, Stormy Night and My Song Is You. Derrell Brown, our Arranger and Piano/Keyboard Artist , certainly exemplifies his rare talents in all of the Arrangements and in his Piano/Organ Solo Renditions. Jerry Jumonville, his sizzling sax, tenor and bass, Harry Rios, his great trombone, Johnny Hozey, his melodic acoustic and electric guitars, Tony Alumbro, his unique jazz guitar, & Michael Grimm, his excellent background harmony, all express their gifted talents in rendering exceptional recordings for a " must have", Collectible Album.
