The Beggar & the Borrower is Siv & Maddie's debut foray into in the world of recorded music. The mixture of original songs and fresh takes on a few of their greatest influences' tunes showcases the duo's unique combination of Norwegian and American; contemporary and traditional. Siv & Maddie is a folk duo comprised of Norwegian singer-songwriter Siv Jakobsen and guitarist, singer and songwriter Maddie Rice from Salt Lake City, Utah. They’re music fuses Siv’s background in Norwegian traditional and contemporary folk music, with Maddie’s background in American folk and Americana music. They gig regularly in the Boston and New York areas and have toured the western US as well as Norway.
