Smart, funny and undoubtedly puerile, Goldie Lookin Chain came straight outta Newport almost a full decade ago. Toasting their 10th anniversary, the Welsh hip hop collective have pieced together a new album and a nationwide tour. First up: the music. 'Kings Of Caerleon' is released on September 2nd and features the group's usual array of Golden Age-aping beats and sharp lyrical observation. Opening track 'It's The Chain' finds the band re-inventing themselves, only to unveil a similar format as before. "It’s like blowing up a tower block" explains Eggsy, "then building a spark new one with working lifts that don't smell of piss, it's wicked". Sounds intriguing...
